I am lucky enough to be only a short train journey away from Birmingham’s City Centre, so here’s a little video of my day out!
Sorry my filming skills aren’t great but I’m working on it.
So straight away when you get the Birmingham New Street station there are loads of shops all over the place but we started by heading straight out the The Bull Ring which is just outside the station, this is where the huge shopping centre is. I’ve been there before and I can never help myself from popping into the Disney store, there’s so much really cute stuff in there – unfortunately I’m about 10 years too old for it now.
After that I did a bit of shopping in New Look and H&M and spent way more money than I should. As you can see from the video some shops were getting very Christmassy, Selfridges had an abundance of Christmas gifts and decorations, although I think it is way to early for all the Christmas stuff it was really pretty. Outside in the square it looked like they were starting to set up for Christmas, I visited last year for the big Christmas market and it was amazing, I’m planning on going back again this year so will take more photos/videos then.
We were really lucky it was such a nice day, you got a great view of the Cathedral. After a little wonder we got a cheeky Nando’s – I got a chicken wrap and supergrain side (the healthier option) I hadn’t ever tried it before and would normally go for a much heavier meal but I actually really enjoyed it and would definitely get it again.
After a little stop at Hotel Chocolat we went for a lovely walk around the city up to the Council House. We then walked back through the train station to the Bull Ring where I got an Oreo milkshake from Ed’s Shakes. I would definitely recommend it there, I don’t normally like milkshakes that much but I really had a craving, mine was delicious! I think I’m going to try and make a good homemade one.
