Low Carb Egg Wraps

If you’re looking to cut down on your carb intake then an egg wrap is a good way to go! It’s super easy and you can fill it with whatever you want but here are some of the fillings I would recommend:

  • Spicy Chorizo and Veg
  • Classic Bacon and Egg
  • Ham and Cheese

The Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 Eggs per wrap
  • Olive Oil

Spicy Chorizo & Veg:

  • 30g Diced chorizo
  • 25g Onion
  • 5g Garlic
  • 25g Mixed peppers
  • Cajun spice mix
  • Grated Cheese
  • Guacamole
  • Salsa

Classic Bacon & Egg:

  • 55g Chopped Bacon
  • Grated Cheese
  • Ketchup

Ham & Cheese:

  • Chopped Ham
  • Grated Cheese

Burrito:

Method:

  1. Fry up any of you filling ingredients that require cooking (e.g. meat and vegetables), add seasoning.
  2. Grate your cheese and have any other filling ingredients prepped and ready.
  3. Whisk up 2 eggs and add ground pepper.
  4. Heat a frying pan on a medium heat and add olive oil.
  5. Once it is heated fully pour in your egg mixture, make sure it fills the whole pan.
  6. Check the base is sufficiently cooked and then flip onto the other side.
  7. Turn the hob down to low and add your fillings in the a line across the egg wrap.
  8. Top with cheese and allow it to heat through and melt on top.
  9. Once it is all heated and the cheese has melted, remove from the hob and add any sauces (guacamole, salsa or ketchup).
  10. Fold the egg wrap closed and enjoy!

Note: This is also a great way to use up any leftovers, just put it in an egg wrap!
